Your body will lose fat most efficiently when it believes it won’t be deprived of food. Fat is your body’s last resort for energy, and we all know that eating too much will cause your body to convert your food into fat. So to lose fat you have to reduce your calorie-intake enough to start the fat burning process. The seemingly logical step to take is skipping meals, right? This is wrong though. Many people skip breakfast in order to lose fat, but this is counter-productive. Your body needs food in order to start your food-burning process. If you skip it, you are basically telling your body that there is no food to eat- so it better try to convert energy now, since if there’s no food today there might be no food tomorrow either. That’s how simple our body thinks of eating: “no meal? Okay, must mean there is no food to eat, I better prepare for worse times.”
Everybody knows that driving a car requires gasoline and that cell phones need charged batteries. It’s a simple principle: to use it, it requires energy. Nevertheless, people don’t apply this principle to themselves. Everybody is in a hurry, and is trying to make big strides in their lives, but they forget to stop and recharge. Even if you don’t feel hungry, you still need to eat. There are no disadvantages to eating small meals, none. The benefits on the other hand will do you much good. You’ll perform better, you’ll be healthier and you’ll have less fat.
Don’t go Dutch on your diet, it’s one of the most important things in life. If you want to snel afvallen ( that’s Dutch for losing weight quickly) you need at least six small meals spread throughout the day. Check your weight every week, and you will see the weight dropping, just like those Tell-Sell commercials.
