Some Great Fat Burning Foods

It is common knowledge that what you eat will not only determine how healthy you will be in the future, but your diet also affects your body weight and how you look and feel now. In this day and age, the possibility of eating unhealthy and weight gaining foods is very high compared to a few decades ago. But on a positive note, there are also more healthy foods available compared to a few decades ago. All you need to do is change your dieting habits and you will see that it is really amazing as to how easy it can be to control your diet. In order to do that, all you need to know is which type of foods are good at countering fat, or what some people call fat burning foods.

One of the foods that are on top of the list for fighting fat is eggs. The humble egg is full of protein and B vitamins and studies have shown that people who eat eggs for breakfast not only tend to weigh less than people who do not eat eggs, they also tend to be lighter compared to people who do not even eat breakfast at all!

Next on the list of fat burning foods are whole grain foods. Whole grain foods help immensely to keep your metabolism high. They are full of the good carbohydrates known as complex carbs and whole grains will help keep blood sugar levels low. Examples of such foods are oat meal, whole wheat bread and pasta and cereals. It’s not only the complex carbs that are found in whole grain food, but also the large amounts of fiber that makes them good. Fiber gives you the feeling of being full faster than foods low in fiber, and you will also feel satiated for longer periods of time, meaning you will not eat as much during the day.

There are plenty of other types of foods that are high in fiber, as well as proteins and vitamins. Fruits, vegetables and beans would fit into this category. Examples of fruits that are high in fiber are prunes, dates, raisins, avocados and mangos. Veggies that are high in fiber are broccoli, celery and cabbage. An interesting fact about cabbage is that, because it has so little fat or carbohydrates, it actually takes more calories to digest it compared to what you will receive from it. This makes it an excellent dieting food.

Other examples of good fat burning foods that deserve mention include milk, yogurt, green tea, spicy foods and basically any food that has a high protein content.
